Mr. Simon, a member of the firm’s litigation practice, primarily focuses on matters related to construction law. He has broad experience representing public and private clients on an array of construction issues, including litigation, drafting contract documents, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Simon is an active leader in "green building" and dedicated to improving the environmental sustainability of business and the buildings in which we work and live. He is a founder and current board member of the Northern California Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, for which he serves as legal counsel. He is also a board member and president of the Green Resource Center.

Active in environmental issues for many years, Mr. Simon served as president of the Ohio State University Environmental Law Association while attending law school and worked with the nonprofit group Environmental Defense to develop a framework for redressing transboundary air pollution. He has represented and worked with various organizations, including Sierra Club, Bay Area Coalition for Headwaters and Buckeye Forest Council, on issues related to old-growth forest protection and logging concerns.
