Rob Bekken

Rob Bekken, a partner in the Orange County office of Preston l Gates l Ellis, was interviewed for American Airline's Forbes Business & Technology Channel. The topic: "How employers and managers can avoid the legal landmines of labor and employment issues that have become the bedrock of litigation across this country. There has literally been an explosion in the number of discrimination and wage and hour cases that are being filed throughout the country."

Rob represents and advises employers across the country on strategies to avoid employment claims and lawsuits. Rob also has represented companies in more than 400 union organizational efforts, as well as in handling numerous discrimination cases and wage and hour matters.

Rob is a frequent lecturer to various business groups around the country on labor and employment issues. He has conducted over 1,000 workshops and seminars and spoken to numerous conventions and groups such as the National Automobile Dealers Association, the National Truck Dealers Association, National Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association, the National Beer Wholesalers Association, the World Floor Covering Association, the Resort Committee of the American Hotel and Motel Association, the National Association of Women Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations, the National Food Brokers Association, the American Management Association, the Society for Human Resources Management, and numerous chapters of the Young Presidents Organization.
