Governor Jeb Bush

Governor Jeb Bush, is Florida's 43rd Governor, elected in 1998 and re-elected in 2002, becoming the first Republican to be re-elected Governor in the state's history. Since taking office, his top priority has been creating a world-class educational system through high standards and increased accountability. Another priority has been on the issue of Tort Reform. Gov. Jeb Bush and House leaders instead have agreed to Senate insistence that the cap be no lower than $500,000, and that victims and their families in the very worst cases can receive more -- up to $2.5 million. Bush has acknowledged, that although
there is no guarantee insurance premiums will go down, it will create certainty in the insurance marketplace.
