Mr. Simon, a member of the firm’s litigation practice, primarily focuses on matters related to construction law. He has broad experience representing public and private clients on an array of construction issues, including litigation, drafting contract documents and regulatory compliance. Mr. Simon is an active leader in "green building" and is dedicated to improving the environmental sustainability of business and the buildings in which we work and live. He is a founder and current board member of the Northern California Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, for which he serves as legal counsel. He also is a board member and president of the Green Resource Center.
Active in environmental issues for many years, Mr. Simon served as president of the Ohio State University Environmental Law Association while attending law school and worked with the nonprofit group Environmental Defense to develop a framework for redressing transboundary air pollution. He has represented and worked with various organizations including Sierra Club, Bay Area Coalition for Headwaters and Buckeye Forest Council on issues related to old-growth forest protection and logging concerns.

When is a Florida Real Estate Broker entitled to a real estate commission as the procuring cause of a sale of property?
One of the means under which a Florida Real Estate Broker (“Broker”) would be entitled to a real estate commission is if it were the procuring cause of a sale of property. If a Broker is the procuring cause, the Broker would be entitled to a commission. In short summary, the buyer and seller must have been brought together and the sale consummated as a result of continuous negotiations of the Broker. Sanson v.
